Wassail is an exciting time at Broken Stone Winery! We love coming together as a wine growing region to toast the vines to thank them for a wonderful growing season and to look forward to the next season of rejuvenation. Wassail also allows us to toast our wonderful friends, family and winery guests and treat them to something special. Join us for cozy indoor wine tastings.  We’ve created special Christmas themed wine flights for you to choose from. Taste and buy your favourites and share them with family, friends and colleagues over the holidays.

One of our favourite Christmas traditions is eating French Canadian tourtière. Sample a tourtière bite served with wine grape jelly. We pair the tourtière with deliciously warm and spiced mulled wine.

Sing a song (or part song) from the Wassail Carol Songbook and receive a complimentary taste of your choosing!

Take a walk on the Vineyard Discovery Trail and learn about the vine lifecycle and vineyard practices. The tour ends with feeding the sheep - sheep feed proceeds go to the Wellington Food Bank.

For gift giving ideas, we’ve put together a Holiday Charcuterie must have list. Shop for unique wines, homemade jelly and wonderful hostess gifts to curate a beautiful Charcuterie offering.

We’ll be offering a hot chocolate bar, with all proceeds donated to the Storehouse Foodbank, as well as a warm, hearty stew paired with a tasting of one of our wines. Weather permitting, we’ll also have an outdoor fire where guests can get cozy by the vineyard and enjoy the atmosphere.

At the Winery, sip on classic hot cocoa while supporting the Loyalist Humane Society through donations at our cocoa stand, equipped with your desired toppings—or treat yourself to an adult version with Baileys for just $5. At the Inn, we’ll be serving up delicious French toast and Belgian waffles each Wassail weekend, complete with a variety of toppings and local maple syrup. Extend the festivities with an overnight stay and enjoy 10% off your room rate on Friday or Saturday nights.

Get ready for some festive fun at Wassail! Our age-old tradition of pouring out libations for the gods in celebration of a good harvest is back. Come sing us a Carole and we reward you with wine - a wee taste, that is. Every song gets you a complimentary 1 ounce pour with small food pairing. So, you can get your holiday shopping done while you get into the festive spirit.

Join us for three magical weekends this November, featuring the Closson Road Christmas Crawl and Countylicious from Saturday November 14th to Sunday, November 30th.  Step into our cozy post and beam historic barn for "Caroling Karaoke". On Saturday we’ve got live music. Hardey and Cheddy, Megan and Gabriel, Nolan-Hubbard and Frankie and Jimmy on each Saturday night of WASSAIL! Join us for Friday Wine Pub Nights in the Speakeasy, featuring Trivia, Karaoke, Bitchin’ Bingo, and Game Nite on each consecutive Friday.

Now that the wines are barrelled down, come join us in celebration of a great vintage as we tuck in for the season.

Annual Wishing Tree – set your wishes down on a tag to hang on our Wishing Tree. On the last Sunday, weather permitting we shall set them alight on the fire.

Enjoy a glass of wine or complimentary mulled wine or Campbell’s Orchard non-alcoholic cider on the patio by the fire - weather permitting, of course :)

Wander along the meadow pathway.

Handcrafted items will be available for sale.

Wassailers (singing of course!) will be offered a complimentary cup of mulled wine.  Anyone purchasing wine will get a chance to pick from our annual Secret Santa Tree!

We will provide a "sing for your sample" with your choice of 1oz of Almanac White or Red.

We will also have warm apple cider available (and for purchase) by carolers who do not imbibe or are <19 years of age.

Santa will be on site and our food program will be up and running all weekend(s) long!

• We will be offering a complimentary 1 oz sample of wine to guests that sing a song from the Wassail carol book, outdoor fire pits will be roaring (weather permitting) and have complimentary marshmallows to roast over the fire.
• Wreathmaking Workshops - Get into the holiday spirit with our cozy and creative Wreath-Making Workshop at Sandbanks Winery in our Barrel Room!

Craft your very own one-of-a-kind wreath using vines straight from our vineyard. We’ll provide everything you need: a handcrafted vine wreath base, fresh greenery, natural seasonal decor, and beautiful ribbon. Want to add a personal flair? Bring along your favorite ornaments or keepsakes to make your wreath truly yours!

Your ticket also includes a glass of Sandbanks wine and charcuterie to enjoy while you get crafty with friends — the perfect blend of festive fun and vineyard vibes.
